A few things about me. I was raised by my grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Winston. We lived in Jamaica, Queens. Compared to many I have an unusual background. By the way, my name means, “Devil” in Arabic, but that’s a different story.
I favor challenging the status quo. I’ve been doing that forever. A wise man once told me, “color outside the lines.” Be contrary to the role. Thus, I believe impossible is only a matter of time.
Recently, I worked for filmmaker Spike Lee at his Brooklyn shop, Spike DDB. As a copywriter, I worked on several major
accounts including: Chevrolet, Johnson & Johnson and HBO’s
“How to Make It In America.”
Thus far there’s been variety in my career. Financial Products Specialist at Merrill Lynch & Company, and Equity Sales Assistant at Deutsche Bank. Prior to that, a stint as an Executive Assistant in ML & Co. Investment Banking, Also, I served in the United States Army.
I obtained my education at St. John’s University. And I hold a degree in English Literature from CUNY.
